Abstract

Psalam 150 spada među vrlo atraktivne biblijske tekstualne predloške koje su skladatelji koristili u svojim kompozicijama. Promatrajući psalam kao književnu vrstu, proučava se i doprinos trojice velikih skladatelja koji su ovaj psalam stavili u glazbeno ruho, svaki na sebi svojstven način. Anton Bruckner bogatim melodijama i raskošnim orkestracijama donosi njemački tekst psalma, dok Igor Stravinski stvara novu estetiku stvarajući novi sastav orkestra koji psalmu daje novi karakter. Papandopulo sklada za zbor a capella i pokazuje nam drugi stil kojim je moguće donijeti isti literarni sadržaj. Proučavajući životopise skladatelja, kao i društvene okolnosti u kojima su skladali ova djela, pokušava se pronaći motivacija i nadahnuće, kao i skladateljske tehnike i alati kojima su se služili u skladanju. Daljnji predmet proučavanja i analize jesu glazbene karakteristike i izazovi koje ova djela stavljaju, kako pred izvođače, tako i pred glazbene teoretičare i muzikologe koji proučavaju glazbeni stil ove velike trojice.

Abstract (english)

Psalm 150 is among the very attractive biblical textual templates used by composers in their compositions. Observing the psalm as a literary genre, the contribution of three great composers who put this psalm into musical form, each in their own unique way, is studied. Anton Bruckner brings the German text of the psalm with rich melodies and sumptuous orchestrations, while Igor Stravinsky creates a new aesthetic by creating a new composition of the orchestra that gives the psalm a new character. Papandopulo composes for an a capella choir and shows us another style in which it is possible to bring the same literary content. By studying the biographies of the composers, as well as the social circumstances in which they composed these works, an attempt is made to find motivation and inspiration, as well as compositional techniques and tools used in composing. A further subject of study and analysis are the musical characteristics and challenges that these works pose, both to performers and to music theorists and musicologists who study the musical style of these big three.
